SAM™ Well Manager Gains New Features

Users of the SAM Well Manager can now count on more features and better performance, thanks to new firmware due to release in Q2. SAM provides industry-leading accuracy thanks to optimized control of downhole cards, helping Lufkin customers lower their lift costs. The new firmware now provides more RTU features for the additional I/O to accompany the AGA 3 features and logic expressions in the firmware. Call now to ensure your SAM is flashed with the new firmware as soon as it is released. Shown at left is the new SAM Well Manager built in Europe for the European/Russian market to meet CE and other local standards.

Optimize and Monitor the Effectiveness of Your Water/CO2 Injections

Want to get more from water/CO2 injections? Our new Injection Well Controller (IWC) technology gathers and reports data from your injection well operations, helping you protect your reservoir and track the effectiveness of your water injection.

Lufkin’s IWC conforms to ANSI 2530 standards for flow measurement and uses NIST 14 for mixture density calculations. The IWC operates on the Lufkin SAM well manager platform, reducing the number of spare parts to keep on hand, simplifying training, and giving you a convenient single source for both rod pump and injection well automation.

Setup is Fast with the New SAM Quick Dynamometer

The new SAM Quick dynamometer, based on the SAM Well Manager, is now available. The self-contained unit with LCD and keypad does not require a laptop. Surface cards can be run in a few minutes with additional features including valve checks, pump leakage, inferred production and downhole cards. The system is designed for quick setup, and the user-friendly menu requires minimal training of the operator. Utility software for downloading data to a computer for storage or additional analysis is also available.

Repair or Trade Up

Thanks to our acquisition of Basin Technical Services in Midland, operators can access expert repair services for virtually any POC on the market with one-stop convenience. And now, customers can take advantage of our new trade-in policy, earning credits for their older POCs toward a new SAM Well Manager. Ask your local Lufkin office for details.
